A Pond In Maine
Upper Hadlock Pond, Northeast Harbor
Acadia National Park
I put my camera in a case on a pack frame so I could hike through the woods with it but it is true, with a few exceptions you cannot see the forest for the trees and I found driving more productive.
Upper Hadlock Pond is one of three places that have been unusually productive but much more important is the kind of images I found. It is just a patch of reeds, with a few water lilies, that combine with water, wind and sunlight. I think this is one of the best examples of what such simple elememts can do. A selection of images can be seen in the gallery Two Ponds.
