These “diamond saxes” are the first of the compositions composed primarily of edges. The top layer is whole saxophones. The background or ostinato is the top layer downsized and repeated and modified.
My intent is partily to show a few that I think work and how subtle differences can make a big difference. In some the are parts of a third layer of the original solid saxophone but with usually the color modified. I think its clear that one could drive oneself bugs because of the infinite possibilities.
