Rivers & Streams
Smooth, Rippled or Turbulent

Water has often felt to be the life blood of landscape (note: land) photography. It is almost the sine qua non of successful images. Of course it comes in many forms: moving, still, flowing barely, tumbling and so forth. But that is just the beginning for morning mists, fogs, frost, ice and some in-between forms are in many of my images. By in-between I mean ice on the verge of disintegration and mist on the verge of banishment by the sun.
I have not attempted a gallery based only on water in all its forms. It would likely be half of my collection. If it is flowing, which means moving from one place to another, however slowly or violently, it is in this gallery.
