Upper Hadlock Pond eventually became one of my favorite places to photograph.
In the satallite view it is clear the this patch of reeds is a small part of the shore of the pond and it is not likely to attract photographers. The one time that other photographers were there, they were all aiming their cameras at the colorful trees across the pond.
I made it a point to visit on every trip to eastern Maine. The combination of reeds, water lilies an water interacting with waves and ripples and either gray or blue sky made of of my favorite images. The ruffling of the surface of the water, the horizontal waves against the vertical reeds made combinations that I found attractive.
