FROST, SNOW & ICE
There is no one location where I go to look when the temperature is below freezing, although years ago there was an empty lot were the grasses and the past summer's wild flowers (the second image is an example) were often beautifully frosted.
Some of the images are repeats from other galleries. Last Leaves and First Snow in any of its versions was photographed in October in Vermont.
Frost on the blueberry barrens happens in the fall also.
However, ice storms are my favorites since the ice covers and stays stuck to everything. Among the most unusual are the ice storms at sunset (a once in a lifetime occurrence) at the Fairfield Cliffs behind Walden Pond.
