I delayed photographing in Maine until 1990. It was an eight hour drive, either to Acadia National Park or Baxter State Park.
As usual there were surprises. Perhaps my favorite gallery on the site is this one. You can only see a small part of Upper Hadlock Pond in the first photograph, but it shows the small (perhaps 200 feet) of reeds that I started to visit on every trip. At first I wanted for the wind to die down, then discovered the best days were the windiest.
